Ever wonder how sometimes you see those really tech-savvy people working on their computers and it looks like they're performing magic? Things are happening on the screen and their hands never leave the keyboard? Well, if you guessed they are using keyboard shortcuts you'd be right!
You may know a few popular commands, such as Ctrl + V for paste, Ctrl + C for copy, Ctrl + X for cut, and Ctrl + Z for undo, but let me share with you a few lesser-known shortcuts that will make your co-workers think you're a computer wizard!
1. Alt + Tab, Switch between open apps
2. Alt + F4, Close the active item, or exit the active app
3. Windows logo key + D, Display and hide the desktop
4. F5, Refresh the active window
5. Ctrl + Esc, Open Start
6. Ctrl + Alt + Tab, Use the arrow keys to switch between all open apps
7. PrtScn, Take a screenshot of your whole screen and copy it to the clipboard
Note: You can change this shortcut so it also opens screen snipping, which lets you edit your screenshot. Select Start > Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard, and set Use the Print Screen button to open screen snipping to On.
